History of Fonner Park Campus
The Fonner Park Campus in Grand Island, Nebraska, has served as a vital center for entertainment, agriculture, and statewide gatherings for over 70 years. Established in 1954, Fonner Park originally opened as a thoroughbred horse racing facility and quickly became a beloved tradition for locals and visitors alike. Over the decades, Fonner Park grew to include more than just horse racing — evolving into a multi-use campus that hosts a wide range of events including the Nebraska State Fair, livestock shows, rodeos, concerts, and expos.

As the demand for large-scale event space increased, the campus underwent significant developments to expand its capabilities. One of the most impactful additions was the construction of the Pinnacle Expo Center — a modern, flexible event space designed to accommodate conventions, exhibitions, and trade shows of all kinds. With its expansive open floor plan, high ceilings, and convenient location, the Pinnacle Expo Center has quickly become a cornerstone of the Fonner Park Campus and a go-to destination for premier events in Central Nebraska.

Today, the Fonner Park Campus continues to serve as a vibrant community landmark, bridging the gap between tradition and innovation. With the Pinnacle Expo Center now home to the Ink The Island Tattoo Convention, the campus is expanding its legacy by welcoming a new era of creativity, culture, and collaboration in the heart of Nebraska.
